"Put the work in like a champion..."
—Eckhart Tolle
Forever holds true. Bless whoever said it.
This is trash.“If this were real, Ivy would have been much worse to Karen. Karen thinks she deserves the role but the way she’s written makes me not want to root for her. She feels entitled. She talks about how Ivy only got the role by sleeping with Derek which makes me think she’s very green. One person doesn’t decide who get’s a role on a Broadway musical. There is an entire panel and everyone has to discuss every audition and then someone is chosen. She’s part of the ensemble and she should feel lucky. You don’t get your “big break” as easily as Karen would think. Ivy’s been in the ensemble for ten years. And Karen tries to overpower Ivy. Getting kicked out of the rehearsal wasn’t a bitchy thing for Ivy to do. Karen needs to learn that an ensemble moves and sings as one. You’re not supposed to steal focus. Professionally speaking she can make it bad for herself to get another job. The Broadway community is tight knit and it’s not that hard for another director to hear about how Karen is behaving. Karen needs to learn her place. She’s in the ensemble. It’s unfortunate that she didn’t get the role but she just makes me feel bad for Ivy.”
